Dr. Richard Adam was born in San Antonio and attended Jefferson High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, a Bachelor’s of Science and a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago.  He completed a residency in Foot Surgery at the UTHSCSA and was Assistant Director of the Podiatric Residency Program, Department of Orthopaedics, UTHSCSA.  He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  He is currently a Clinical Professor with UTHSCSA and is in private practice in San Antonio.  He was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the State Board of Podiatry Examiners and has lectured on foot problems in seven countries.  He is also a Past President of the Miss Fiesta Scholarship Pageant and has served on the Executive Board of the Fiesta Commission.
